Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Wax.
We recommend hair be at least 1/4 inch (about 6 mm) so the wax can grip properly. If hair is longer we can trim slightly beforehand; if too short, wait 2–3 weeks after shaving.
Some discomfort is normal, but our experienced estheticians use quick techniques, soothing pre-wax oil, and aftercare to minimize pain. Breathing techniques help, and topical numbing agents are available upon request for sensitive clients.
Most clients return every 3–6 weeks depending on individual hair growth. With regular waxing hair often grows back finer and more slowly, which can extend time between appointments. We’ll recommend a personalized schedule during your visit.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, tight clothing, and heavy exercise for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, skip exfoliation for 48 hours, and apply soothing aloe or recommended creams to reduce irritation and prevent ingrown hairs.
Many pregnant or breastfeeding clients safely receive Brazilian waxes with adjustments for comfort. Please inform us of your pregnancy stage and any medical concerns; if you have a high-risk pregnancy consult your doctor first.
Active sunburn, open wounds, skin infections, recent chemical peels, or certain skin conditions may prevent waxing. Also disclose medications like retinoids or blood thinners so we can advise and ensure a safe treatment.
